I have to agree that looks really high... well over the 40-80ppm judging by the pictures...
 
I really hate these tests... is there not some way they can differentiate the colors more? The 10/20 and 40/80 colors are almost exactly the same.

That said, I would say it's higher than 80, like maybe 100-120...
 
The best way I have found to read it is to hold the tube at arms length in front of a white wall with the card in the other hand
 
I'd interpret it as 'somewhere' way over 100. No matter what, I'd be running hoses everywhere. :WHOA:

IMO, all these colored test methods are waay too risky, being completely reader-subjective! It's absurd.
Why can't someone invent + market affordable digital water testers for the most dangerous: ammonia, nitrites, nitrates...
Someone could become very wealthy off the patent.

Less than 18 replies, and PPL see everywhere from possibly 40 to 160= very frustrating test.

The main reason for the varied replies is because its a picture. If I was there in person with my test kit I could tell you the actual nitrate reading (well as acurate as the kit actually is)
