What does venting mean?

I can get better pics later. they are not hungry anymore they are digesting in the corner of the tank.

I didn't actually drop the food/treat in the tank, just held it above the water till Toni was vertical enough for the pic.

Ya I did for the first little while but then the male started jumping at it and I thought I had a good picture lol so I just gave them the food
