What eel is this?

Hey guys I recently saw this eel at my lfs, looks really interesting and the guy says its freshwater, is that true?

If yes I would love too keep him with some juvi peacock bass?

Any info on this guy would be appreciated

It seems to be the wrong color/pattern to be G. Tile. That is why I just gave you the genus and Fishbase page :p .
It seems pbass can handle a little brackish. If the eel was big enough not to be eaten, and you were willing to try going into the unknown frontier of fishkeeping, you probably could keep them together. Just watch the salt! :)

And if i didnt put salt at all? The p.bass are still way too small too do any harm too him
 
I don't know. Try to figure out exactly what it is and maybe make a thread in the general brackish forum. My guess is it will be fine for a while in fresh but I don't know.
