get a cover and a home for that koi and then you might be able to get an eel all of the eels you listed above won't kill fish they will exscape but those fish are just preditory so if the fish get a little bigger or not much smaller then the blood parret you have then you won't have to worry any eel type fish big enough to eat a blood parret is way to big for a 50

The blood parrot is currently rather small, so the 50 is fitting enough. How big do the parrots get, anyhow?

As for the cover, i'll have to talk to the caretakers of the tank first, but we'll see xP

even tho it is considered brackish water..i would have to vote dragon goby. many people keep them in fw with much success. do some research on it

I'm surprised the koi hasent jumped out yet. With all those fish it will eventually freak out and jump. Like what everyone else said, any eel will jump out. Even with hiding places, just a small scare and it will escape. I'd say donate a hood to your office.

dragon gobys need salt some people with very clean tanks can keep them for a while in freshwater but evetually they need brackish they by far live longer under these conditions and useually just get sick and dye in freshwater
blood parrets get around 6''-7'' but can get bigger
also you may wan't to try to get some kind of spiny eel not fire or tire track they get to big and like to eat other fish but what other kinds of cichlids are there

The koi looks pretty content in there actually. No one bothers him and he gets along fine with the cichlids.

I have kept dragon gobies in full freshwater with zero problems.

Donate a hood, then get whatever the heck you want.

Probably the best idea.

Thanks guys!

=)

my suggestion is to get a cover, get rid of the BP and the koi and make it an african species tank by adding one "dwarf" polypterus species (i would start out w/ a sen since they're the cheapest and you can get them at petsmart to see if the cichlids attack it)

there is no eel-like fish that will work w/o a cover. the only thing I can think of that is a slight possiblity is a pike cichlid
