We can't tell you a WC schedule. Testing your water will tell you your WC schedule.

Test pre water change. Change out 50% of the water you loss 50% of your nitrates. Now next WC test again before you change the water and you learn how much Nitrates you generate over the time between the two water changes. Then you pick a number you want to keep your nitrates at, most go 20 or less. And then do WCs to keep them at that level. Keep in mind tho that your fish are still growing. So what they make now will increase as their size does.

So I checked the nitrate level today after having the tank set up for a week. It read 10-20ppm I swear some of those api colors look the same to me.

50% water change a week I think should do it.

One thing to consider, is that your Geo's appear to be juvies at this point, (and depending on which species), could grow as large as another 4" to 10", and fill out the space quite a bit .

At the time of the pic above, these were 5 to 7".
Below one of the altifrons group at 10".

And I agree plants like Anubius or java fern fixed to the branches would add interest and help with water quality.
They are able to utilize low light and might do well with just the indirect sunlight from the window.
