What ever Happened to the old western movies and the stars that were in them?

Wow! Talk about a trip down memory lane, thanks Liz. My guess would be society has moved on from wanting to hear about the good guy who is just a human, with normal human faults and limitations, but tries to do good simply because it's the right thing to do. No cursing, sex, nudity, gratuitous violence or impossible stunts, no large explosions, massive body counts or the biggest guns. Just a man standing up to bullies so others can live a normal life and then ride away without thought of reward, not a money maker today.

please don't go there although i understand where your coming from.. but it was still wholesome and fun to watch...
Agree to a point but it was a very different time when most of these were made and black stars were not prevalent in any genre. And what's wrong with Will Smith?
We recently lost Sally Starr...I don't too much about her but she was an entertainer of the western genre and she lived in this area for a while.
i know, the movies represent what was going on at the time well.
nothing wrong with will smith, that was just a horrible movie though. if i recall right, there were robots that looked like aliens in a western movie? no thank you
Maybe my memory has slipped completely but not recalling that in the movie. What about Cowboys vs. Aliens?
