I wouldn't try it. Get a FX5 .

What sort of rays you looking to keep in a 6x2x2, personally imo one pond solutions 2000 isnt a big enough turnover on a 6x2x2, rays are very messy fish and there water has to be tip top. Even pups comes come with a big bioload for your filter to deal with a I know it may seem a big tank but its not alot of water when it comes to keeping rays. For the same sort of money as the pond solution filters you could pick up sum second hand eheim 2260's which would be a better option.

So give me something to work at, will I need 1 or 2 2260's?

Stocking level ? Size of ray ? I use to run three 2260's on a 6x2x2 plus two eheim 2252 internals, maybe overkill but rather that then under filtered

I'm probably only going to have 1 ray, or could I have more? I don't wanna get my hopes up on having loads of rays cause I realise that isn't realistic, I'm planning on keeping retic's (:

Im hoping u researched how delicate these animals are, if not u should and I hope u know wat u are getting urself into

Ofcourse man that goes without saying! That's persicely the reason why I'm asking this stuff, I have read up on what kind of filter I should be using but I always get mixxed reviews.

I know what I'm getting into but I'm more then willing to spend time with rays, they are such beautiful and magestic creatures they are definately worth all the time and effort they will require ((:

I think although the FX5 is a better filter you would be better with 2 of the allpondsolutions - i find it's always better to have the back up plan where as if the FX5 goes kaput then it's trouble.

My second hand Fx5 cost me £100 - my second hand APS 2000 EF with UV or what ever the model is called cost me £30, i have to say the clear hose you use on them is dreadfully shocking, if it bends it restricts so much flow, i liked the spray bar however.

I don't mean to be funny, but personally a 6' tank with just 1 ray sounds dreadful, is that really all you'll keep?
