Seems like you could find out the answer by going out and looking/netting.

 im not much of a fisherman and never been fishing in this area.I would like to know what i to look for if i do go thru with this idea. i dont have space for bass a very large catfish or stergon. maybe a blue gill but i guess your right the best thing is go out and fish.

Well I live in mass which is right near CT you could also maybe do a perch, crappie small bullhead catfish they don't get to big not sure what size tank you have but there's some ideas for you

i have three 55s,125,210 . i would like the natives to be in either 1 or 2 of the 55s . one 55 is a fry grow out and the bigger tanks are for my sa cichlid pairs. i would really love a stingray in my 210 but not sure if its big enough for one to live out its life in.

I'm from ct also. Your best bet with a 55 is 1 or 2 smaller blue gill or other panfish. It takes 5 minuites and $3 to catch them. You could spend an hour at a local pond and keep the ones u like the color on.

i never been fishing around there so i wouldnt even know were to start , especially with the different baits and stuff. the only time i ever been on a successful fishing trip was in florida fishing for baby bull sharks in a riven behind my uncles house

Sunfish are ridiculously easy to catch, im originally from eastern CT. Just use a bobber hook and worm and your bound to eventually get one. If you want to start them as babies, just take a flaslight and net at night around edges of ponds and youl find tons. But id say one maybe two sunfish are your best bet, or minnows, madtoms, or one bullhead. But id recommend a bigger tank for bullhead
