Just what the title asks. From your experience, what fish has the best personality. I know it will vary from fish to fish but just thought it might be a cool thread. Post pics of your personable fish with any related info.

IME my peacock bass give me TONS of puppy dog eyes and always swim/bite the glass when I'm in the room. They always beg. I find it better to have at least 3 than one as they show this personality when there is competition more than when there isn't. Check avatar for pic of one of them. (male Cichla monoculus.)

In my Past experiences with the fish I have owned, I would have to say, the Redline Snakehead. They had so much personality. They knew who I was everytime I was near the tank. They would shy away from strangers. Also, Fahaka Puffers, climbing perch, most CA/SA Cichlids etc.

oscars are very bright and have character.

I second the oscar, just need one and they follow all day. Though my Arapaima is about 11 inches and he can be safely hand fed now and he's all puppy like now. P Bass are big gloms for food especially in packs of 8.

I did have a goldfish once that flew from one tank on one side of the room to another 5 feet away. He was my special gold friend. But he didn't like his tank mate.

i agree with the pbass and the oscars. but most of the time with those fish its just because they want food. what kind of fish will interact with you when they are not beggin for food????
