do EBJD DEFINITELY man, you can make sooooo much money off of the babies. not many other fish can do that for you. also, they really arent that hard man, if they were, there wouldnt be so many people doing it.

ick sorry i forgot
and ya two big severums should pair up as long as they are male and female

im going to go ahead and guess its a fresh water, and a good thing to breed would be angel fish. i dont know why, but i've always had luck with those. not so much lately though cuz they keep on eating their young =/, but they are pretty easy to breed, discus are the more expensive option, but also good, also, with discus u need the tank to be centered around them so they would have the perfect environment, because they are more needy when it comes to water conditions and tank set up.

I actually have discus in the tank at the miniuite so I guess I will just keep them...:)

green terrors or texas maybe ??

Well you have many options.

As the beginner I know you are, I'd start with easier species.

The most obvious choice that stands out are cichlids. Most are dead easy to get to breed, and fairly strait forward to raise.

Species of interest may include;
- Severum
- Geophagus
- Jack Dempsey
- Many of the dwarf species

Out of those I'd try Geophagus. Probably Geophagus sp. Tapajos "orange head"

I would go with the JD...

I have a pair in my tank and the breed very quickly. Not sure about the market in Ireland for JD's but if you can get your hands on a male and say, 2 females to start out with (with the plan to relocate the 2nd female after pairing) that would be a good way to go.
