what food for silvers?

Other feeders would be ok, but goldfish is not.

Just go with the pellet stuff to save money.

true. but every fish is different. and as i read around, as long as the aro is bigger than the oscars, they should be fine(coming from one of the aro vendors that has the same fish combo as me)

not quite true. The aro needs to be 16" plus before it can handle bullies. Aros are weak and skiddish and prone to stress when they're small.

Long term the combo can work, but if you add a small aro to a tank with established oscars you're asking for trouble.

yeah not to happy with feeders. but i got him to eat frozin krill today and i got my pbass to eat rosy red minnows by monday ima get some feeder guppies.

Small aros tend to relish bloodworms. Try feeding him some. Get him to associate you with feedings. Then try to introduce him to another food. Once he starts eating better I would try shrimp, krill, and pellets.

What "aro vender" does this info come from? I hope it's not the one that sold you the arowana.

BTW the aro is NOT bigger then your two oscars, unless your oscars, that you've been posting about for the last year are severely stunted and are still only 4-5" long.

uh i got the aro form my lfs(but i did get him to eat frozen krill, so im happy). the oscars are 7 inches. i only fed them once a week so they grew slower than others, but the aro is around 10 inches.

Wow a single feeding and your aro has grow 2-3" Are you planning this once a week feeding with the aro too, maybe in hopes you can retard it's growth enough to keep it in that 100g tank?

Why not just post pics to prove how much bigger your aro is then you oscars? Either way longer is not bigger. Hopefully you'll be lucky and the aro and oscars will live together without incidents

yeah ima start the once a week feeding, this monday... hopefully it'll work out.
well if longer isnt bigger the oscars are bigger.haha but its they third day since i had the aro and the oscars dont even mind him anymore
