what food for silvers?

hmmm. give him a day to settle into the tank and retry. mine was the same size as your's and he eats specila pellets that float and come from asia. my fish guy is asian and orders special color-enhancement pellets for arowana, or any ohter fish. also, mine eats freeze-dried krill. he eats anything that floats, except flake.

lol thanks... but i got him to eat frozen krill yesterday. the frozen krill floated so he at about 4 of em

No, feed your arowana two times a day, your oscars need to be fed this way as well. Feeding once a week will lead to a dying, sickly arowana.

k... tried to feed him again today, his belly still seems pretty fat so i try agian tomorrow

well if longer isnt bigger the oscars are bigger.haha but its they third day since i had the aro and the oscars dont even mind him anymore

I would recommend two a day feedings with a day of fasting once a week. You can always just feed very small portions to try to slow the growth rate.

yeah yesturday he ate four pieces of frozen krill... he's not to hungry today, his stomach looks pretty full still. but thanks for all the advice everyone :D
 
mine didnt eat for about 5 days when i got him almost brought him back but he started actually eating goldfish flakes(weird i know) that lasted 2 days then hikari sticks now he eats everything but no live food he never goes for the feeders
