hey lets all just share our storys on what got us into fish keeoing, well for me 4 years ago when i was 10 i recieved a 10 gallon fish tank from my nieghbor and i hatyed it my mom would make me change all the water out 1 a month and scrub it clean with soap then i had to clean all the gravel and rocka nd i had it stocked with 5 fancy type goldfish but thats my story on what got me out of fish keeping,

i got back into fish keeping last june because i saw this video on youube that inspired me to buy a 55 g heres the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0wan_akdcY someone post it for me
from a 55 i went to a 180 and i still cant figure out how to make my tank as nice as that guys so i still strive to get a nice tank , and after that video i just researched on hundreeds of fish i never new exsisted, now u teel your story,

i think we all got fascination of aquatic life but how did you find out about all the fish you could keep in a tank because all i ever knew were goldfish

I was given a free 30 gallon tank from my old job many years ago. I thought it was a huge tank! LOL! A bunch of random stocking and epic fails forced me to read more about aquatics and various species. I have gone through many tanks and fish since then. I fell in love with the hobby and never looked back.

My parents got me a 5 gal tank about 120 years ago. If I remember, which I don't, I think I thought it was cool. Had a tank ever since, I think????

I became the walmart fish guy at my local walmart... Then while doing research for my oscar i found this forum... Game Over

yeah once you read about these beautiful fish you become addicted and never want to be with out them

Simply put I love animals and I'm a designer the aquarium is a perfect marriage of passions. Keeping/spawning fish is one kinda entertainment but setting up and decorating an aquarium is my other passion. It all comes together to really grab me on so many levels. After I got into cichlids and oddballs I also grew attached to some of my more exuberant fishies.
