What got you into fish?

my friend went to fishing caught a bunch of bass and natives, he kept them in a kiddy pool(we were 6 at the time). he gave me a fish to have, a single very small minnow. i kept it in a fish bowl.

months later it jumped out on to the floor, my mom throw it away she thought it was a booger.
 
Ever since I remember myself, my older bro had a fishtank I never paid too much attention to... Few years after he left the parental nest I got my own flat,and my girlfriend got me a small bowl with 2 goldfish in it (her mother cleaned the basement and wanted to get rid of it).
Couple of years have passed and now I have 4 tanks and my main income is from that beautiful hobby...
 
When I was about 6 or 7 my best friends dad had a pond filled with koi and a huge tank with cichlids in it. My friend and I would spend all day searching the yard for frogs, grass hoppers, crickets, pretty much any kind of bug we could find just to throw it in the tank so that his big oscar would eat it. We got the biggest kick out of hearing the crunch. Then at about 14 or 15 years old I decided I wanted to get some fish of my own. Since then it's been like an addiction.
 
when i was a little kid i had black mollies....i don't even know how i got the tank or anything...then after they were long gone and the tank was put away, i went to petsmart one day

and i unknowledged...bought a red bellied pacu....oh yeah!
then i got a 30gallon when he got to be around 5inches
then i 55...and there he lay after 2 years and 18 inches later...
then i gave up on fish once again
till last summer when i worked at a pet shop...now i have 6 running tanks 200 miles apart will all sorts of stuff in them....

so...thats how i got into fish
