keep the water pristine clean and he will heal fast.. but watch what might be going on in the tank.. someone was trying to bite.. i cannot believe he would just lay there and let the pleco do it..so i am assuming it was the ck..but how big is the ck..?
i still think it is the ck.. although plecos are known to suck on another fish..this looks more like a bite.. A little Aquarium salt is good..according to directions per the size of tank.. your oscar will be okay... it is only superficial type wound.. but still you do have to maintain high quality water..

agree with the pleco, i'd just get rid of it, make more of a mess than they fix anyways
I agree....common plecos have caused alot of other fishes deaths, especially catfish.

I think it was the CK. in your avatar you can see the circular shape of the CK's mouth, which matches the bite mark on the oscar. If it was from the pleco there would be a filled in circle and not a ring. Ive owned a Ck before and ive seen bite marks from them.

Yeah, I'm starting to think it was the ck more and more. Although I haven't seen any bullying lately. Maybe the ck realized the o is too big to try to eat and will leave him alone now. Oh, and the oscar looks 95% better already. Guess they really are fast healers.

The time to keep an eye on them is at night. I've heard of CK's doing damage at night from people that owned them while at a LFS. They have pretty large mouths from what I understand.
