I've been here for three and a half years consistently and haven't noticed any changes. Since I've started we've had the nice always helpful people and the flamers....and everyone in between. New members have joined and some older members have left but overall nothing is different. On a forum with this many members, you're going to have all types of personalities.

i agree with everything you mentioned.... i think over all it has been smooth sailing with an occasional wave or rough undertoe...... not much has changed through the years except that MFK has become even bigger and stronger... and like the saying says it is hard to please everyone... all of the time..


theres only one thing i don't understand..thats about Lupin.....he keeps thinking we don't appreciate him... now thats just so wrong... we love you lupes..and your abuse must stop..lol

As for me I have noticed changes most good... some on the rough patches. Overall its still an awesome site. However for me this is one thing I can agree with.. I am one of those who starts threads looking for interaction and to read posts and get replys, I hate using the search function and even more when others tell me to do so. I dont care if it has been answered before... most of the time what I find in the search is not what I am looking for or the answer that I was looking for is not there or not informational enough, so I dont bother. If I can do the research I will, but usually I am asking for a reason and do wish you guys would lighten up and just share your .02 and opinion even if its been answered a thousand times. I will agree with that =]

My Gawd my threads become a Mod playground. Lol!! As for the thread I guess I got my answer everyones opinion is different, except we all agree MFK is a kick arse site. I will only go so far as to request that anyone who reads this thread thinks a little more before responding or asking a question. Let's try to make MFK a little better by bettering our interactions on here. Lets post questions in a more serious, direct and concise way. If a question is well thought out maybe the responses will be too maybe a good question can become a sticky. Those of us who do respond should do it being tempered by patience, understanding and diginity and we'll never go wrong. As for the suggestion to create more sticky's with the more commonly kept monsters I'd love to contribute. Mods please tell me how to properly coordinate with you so I can make a sticky really worth being a sticky. I wanna try a 1 year thread that follows me keeping a monster fish. First I'll put all the info I accumulated into a general description, husbandry etc. introductory paragraph and then follow up with perhaps every 2 weeks to a month of my experience keeping the fish ie. present tankmates, water parameters, feedings and growth rates. I'd love to start with Hydrolycus Scomberoides, Tatauaia as well as Raphiodon Vulpinus. These guys really seem to have no info or pics out there on MFK or anywhere else. So I guess try to change that gonna make sure the thread has plenty of pics. I'd also like to try a shrimp sticky at the same time I think I maybe able to keep them with the Hydrolycus or Raphiodons as they're piscivorus and probably won't pay the shrimp any attention. Tankmate choosing maybe a problem though. So what do you guys think?
