OMG!
Although, like Liz said, Pacus don't act like that...
Is it possible that the fish died and the Pacus THEN ate it?

i quess it depends on how they are raised.. but i had a red tail shark live with my pacus for 6 years.. and when he died of old age i had an african cichlid take his place...they loved that african cichlid and shark... I've seen pacus hunt and eat oscars, tetras, barbs...
They aren't gentle giants, but they are perfectly happy eating nuts and vegetation.
i agree with it is all in how they are raised... my 17 inch clown knife is with angels... my electric cat is with a few small fish... they have never eaten anything live and they have no clue to do it... and or no need...vaine111;2930780; said:it all depends on how you bring it up. if you introduce it to feeders young it will always eat them. mine never ate any. while i was waiting to rehome it i went ahead and started re-stocking the tank and had a 1" frontosa and a 1.5" EBJD. they would swim around him chasing eachother. had a 2" albino oscar the pacu was his best friend.
Now that makes sense.....they would behave differently in a shoal of pacus and a shoal of oscars in a 65 gal tank.. no body could avoid each other.. cramped quarters makes alot of fish do things they do not normally do..thats not even a question under those conditions..Will Hayward;2930765; said:I've seen them eat fish from as small as 3" to as larger 10".
It does NOT matter on how there were raised, the pacus I have witnessed eating live fish were raised on Flake and pellet food, in addition to cucomber and Nori. This particular school of pacus, decided they would eat the school of slightly smaller Oscars that shared the 65 gallon long tank.
