Nice tiger, I would say around $800, heres the thing, as they get big they will be worth more money, but if your trying to sell it locally not many people have huge tanks to house one of these in, so the price drops....Atleast thats how things are here...I tell people about my 225 and they are amazed. To most people on MFK 225 is small....

If condition is good i think 1" for $100 is worth it cos it is so hard to keep until that stage i got 1 about 11"+ i think but i keep afew smaller gatf they sometime die on me so getting a bigger gatf is worth the $$ to throw in cos more hardy

Till the Girly atf gets a shankin. Ask R1....... OR you could de-fang the pixie and then you have a shot....... I think you need to try this Dorado/ Armatus combo. Now that would be interesting.
OR just go as big as you say..... then you'de have a shot at all 3 together...... And while you're at it don't forget the Aimara.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... R1s GATF did get punked by his Armatus, but I GAURANTEE you it would not be the case with a 15"+ GATF. At that size, you're dealing with a totally different fish. Its seems they finally figured out what they are capable of and begin to kill tankmates. I'm saying this from experience. I raised a GATF from 5" to 19" before I sold it two yrs ago. Once it passed the 15" mark, it attacked killed a couple of VATFs ranging in size from 14-16", 10" Frontosa, 9" Hap, and ate a handful of 6" Tinfoil barbs.

Dorado would almost certainly whoop on an Armatus any day of the week. Aimara would kill anything you put in with it, lol.

I think I remember seeing your post and the school of atfs. Was your thread with the Barb chopped in half from a GATF? and a pic of a NICE SIZE vatf that also fell to a GATF??

Woody seems to have OK luck with his Armatus /GATF combo and that GATF is HUGE..... way over 20 inch if I remember correctly. Dorado..... you got me. I've heard they are mean but I've also seen monster sized ones kept with the likes of Aros with no problem. You ask me it all boils down to not only the tank size and the personality of the fish but the way the owner raises the fish. Add all those things and a little pinch on the arse from lady luck and who knows what you can mix together........... Never know till you try.
