What is a 32 Inch 2 yr old fire eel worth?

Not to sure but if you lived my way i know of someone that would buy it off you in a heartbeat since she has one just as big.

I would say $200 in my neck of the woods. I considered a 20" at The Wet Spot in Portland Oregon for $200, but settled on a juvenile since I had a 404 mile drive home (yes, that is the closest eel seller to me).

I would pay 100. Not readily available but the small ones are pretty cheap these days so you'd have to consider that if you want to move it fast. Otherwise, I think most people might be inclined to just get a small one and grow it out. As you said, took about two years, and that's not too bad. I bet its a beauty. Can you post a pic?

Keep in mind that a consumer will pay more for that fish when in a LFS. They expect another hobbyist to sell it for a lower cost.

depends imo if you want a good home or not.. an experianced hobbyist imo is gonna try and low-ball you.. knowing exactly how much a juvi to grow-out would cost.. an animal like that would go for alot of money to someone w/out a clue.. and w/ alot of cash to pay for what they aren't willing to do w/ hard work (ie grow-out one) I think 100- 150$ would be fair on MFK 3x or so to a LFS who's gonns sell to the first person w/ cash, and not neccisarily the fish's best interest. and that is a choice... only you can make.

...and consider the LFS is still only likely to give ~$100 store credit (not cash in most cases). So its about the same. Just depends on what you need to get out of the deal.
