i dislike gs' they cloud the water when they shed and don't eat enough to count for anything...unless you have masses of them, but thats were the cloudyness comes in...

i have had up to 100 of them at a time when available and never has caused my tank to get cloudy. they scavange around eating everything they can, even fish poop :screwy: never really have lasted long enough for a lot of them to molt. but i think they are definitely good scavengers. and they stay hidden alot with my puffers so they get the food that falls in the rocks and even come out in the open to eat until they get chased away.

i have also dumped completely freshwater ghost shrimp in my marine tank. the pet store didnt have any marine ones and i needed a few so i picked up a dozen FW ones and they didnt go into shock or anything. definitely lived for a few weeks until they started going missing one by one getting eaten

molly work GREAT with mine i have like 6 diff breeds of em in with mine and when they breed the puffers have nice Lil snacks :).......
but my moray eel eats them from time to time, every now and again one turns up missing and the eel has a big lump in his belly.
but great with gsp's
