Darth Odo already owns one of the more outgoing 8-10" species...bet his istlanum isn't very shy. The one I had wasn't!

Damn right! My male istlanum is my most interactive fish and isn't shy a bit. Getting a big ole hump too at 4". LOL. He'd like to fight me if he could.

My tank situation is this. I have the istlanum in a 55 by himself now, and he likely will stay that way. I have room for a 50 gallon breeder (36X18X19), which I posted about earlier and received no responses. So basically I'm looking for something that may go in a 55 gallon or a 50 gallon breeder, and I can put the istlanum in either one. I have 75, 100, and 125 gallon tanks with fish already in them, and space is a major constraint, so a 4-ft tank is out.

I have owned many grammodes and got rid of them b/c they are just too shy for me. I like them a lot, but the interaction isn't there. I may get one of fishfarm's La Ceiba louiselleis. They look nice and I have always had good luck with Parachromis species.

My god that tank must be about 100 feet long then!

gold saum hands down/blue acara a male con can be personable in a way if kept by himself
