What is a relatively peaceful larger cichlid?

I have both and i would agree they are your best bet for large and peaceful.
 
I would avoid Managuense, when mine hit about 12 inches I had to give him his own tank to stop him attacking everything, now he just attacks me when I am doing water changes.
 
You can go with a Frontosa,but everytime I go to check out a Frontosa to purchase,they are skittish and hide too much so that is what made me stay away from those gorgeous looking cichlids.Try looking into a Starry Night cichlid too,those things are sweet when they reach 10 inches and 9 out of 10 times wont bother any other tank mates,as long as you have the right size,but since you own a 210 you're fine.Even if your other cichlids try to attack the Starry Night cichlid,they can hold their own from what I have seen in a 720 gallon tank.
 
Fronts are badass but iv never had a front tough enough for what uv got.I had a 4" parot that picked on my big male front. Id go for somthin with alil more aggressive. but u never know. Good luck
 
I've never adjusted my PH since so many CA's adapt to water conditions but with all the limestone in Central America, most of the cichlids come from hard water anyway...I think lol.

Those parrots are trouble makers,I have one that tried to start a fight with my Jack Dempsey(as you can see my jd in the avatar).My jd opened its mouth and wrapped it around the face and pushed it back,showing who is boss.
 
two of my blood parrots are massive, and they've grown so much, their mouth opening isn't very big. They can't even lock lips with each other anymore. On rare occasion i see them try to bully my other fish, but the other fish just kind of ignore them, and laugh inside about how pathetic they are.

My severums range in size from 4" to 8", and they don't bother anyone or anything. the salvini are around 4", and only chase around each other. The Jack Dempsy is a 5" EBJD, and keeps to himself.
 
Jags are the opposite of large peaceful cichlid. I will echo what many have already said... Bocourti or Pearsei. Another really cool fish with a more mild temper is a Amphilophus Lyonsi.
 
Some EBJD's are peaceful and even though a datnoid isn't a cichlid, it is a cool peaceful fish.
