hes deffinitly isnt as vibrant as when i first put him in there. But hes still rather white for the most part. We'll see how it goes for a 2 more days. Hes probably my favorite fish either way, hes always game for chasing your finger.
He looks lighter with the light on obviously. But I still can't distinguish between leutistic vs. albinoxnormal? Have you thought of pm'ing oddball or someone to get more experianced input?
He cant be leucistic. They are born like that and its basically albino without the pink eyes. If he was a normal colour and then went white he would havta be xanthic. Maybe because they are already lightly coloured there isnt much yellow to retain so they go more white.
And im also pretty sure albinosxnormal ya just get roughly half half albino and normal babies and the normal babies still carry the albino gene and can have white babies themselves. Atleast that is what happens with convicts.
Being kept on bright white substrate will make polys go sooo white that they look very much like platinum, which is why I call them 'poor mans platinum'
Given more time in the Tank, I'm positive it's color will darken.
