I'm sure many of you can relate...

I have been hit in the side with a pick-axe, nearly broke my back on the tailgate of a truck in a snowmobile accident, been front-flip kicked in the face breaking my nose, etc... but there is just something about getting bitten by my green severum that makes me nervous.

Over the past couple of weeks after I noticed she had layed eggs, she has turned from a sweet friendly family fish into a complete badass B****. (:headbang2) Everytime I go near the tank she'll start trying to tail whip me or bite me through the glass. There aren't even any eggs in it right now.

Yesterday I opened the cover to the tank and tried to put my hand into the tank to suction the heater back onto the back of the tank, and she nearly jumped out of the water trying to go after me. There was quite a splash.

Anybody else have anything similar to share? Any fish that went from good to bad and now seem to want to make you bleed? :screwy:

I used too hand feed my oscar. Until the greedy little porker started biting me during water changes in an attempt for food to appear.

yup my female zebra tilapia will always sneak up and give me a go sometimes just to let me know she is tough

My oscar always trys to bit me when I'm doing water changes on his tank. I have two pretty big I'd say 10 inch columbian sharks and one night one jumped out. Well I got the bright idea that I would pick him up and hold him like I would a catfish I caught when fishing. Well needless to say that was a bad idea he stuck his side fines straight back into my middle finger and thumb. You wanna talk about pain it almost made a 30 year old man cry like a baby. My fingers throbbed so bad for atleast an hour. After awhile I held my hand under hot water and thats the only thing that would taking the throbbing away. I got online to see what I could do and read several places were a lot of people end up passing out because the pain is so intense. For atleast a month afterwards I was picking ou small pieces of bone out off my finger and thumb. My green terror whos in a 75 gallon right now by himself constanly chases us around the room and if you go up to the tank he goes crazy the funny thing is if I do a water change or just open the lid he goes in his cave.

Haha i know what you mean my pbass used to hit anything as soon as it hit the water ... ive broken many bones and have taken nasty hits and falls i even got hit in the face and saw it comin however when it came to my bass i wouldnt stick my hand in the water to even fix my heater lol and if i did i would put the net in first and block him hahahaha
