There is also the Cyprinid, Luciosoma setegerum, that has that exaggerated, up turned mouth from Thailand and the Mekong basin.
I believe they reach up to 12".
And there is Oxygaster anamalura another cyprinid with a very upturned mouth, called the Seluang Ping Ping in that area.

It is growing. Think I know what it is now, I think it is a Mrigal carp. They are a good local sports fishing fish. Gets about a metre long. I will have to give it away long before that.
