Unlike carp, suckers are natives here. They are also delicious- I'd take sucker over bass any day.

Most catostomids are North American, but a close cousin of your white sucker, the longnose sucker (C. catostomus) occurs in Siberia as well as northern North America, and the so-called 'Chinese highfin banded shark', Myxocyprinus asiaticus, is also in this family.

Last year in march or april i was walkkng around one of my spots and the gesse had already laided there eggs and were seating on there nests.I walked pass like 4 couples watching over there eggs and all they would do was hiss at me and i would just walk pass.So i kept on fishing(caught like 5 bass that day)and when i walked pass the last nest this geese came running at me so i began to run and he took off in the air and came flying towards me.I had no choice but to take both of my poles and beat the crap of out of the geese.I felt bad but he didnt leave me with a choice, it was another dude out there laughing his behind off.After i was done the geese kept twiching his neck, but he was ok cause when i went back the next day he ran down on me again but he didnt get that close cuz i think he remembered wat had happen to him the day before.They neeed to do something about them dam geese tho,its like every year they get 150% more populated. I HATE THEM DAM GEESE-they poop everywhere

hehe the story was me and 2 friends took a short cut threw a golf course that had about 200 geese on it and he thought it would be funny to run at them... they all turned his way and flew over him and no lie he was crapped on over 100 times... he even had it in his mouth
