Matured filter media!

Not all of us have that. I'm starting back up after being away for 2 years. I'm going to use Stability and I will report on here how it worked.

The problem I have with Bio-Zyme is it does not dissolve very well. The first time I used it the stuff just floated on the top of my tank for several days. I check the directions, which are meager at best, and wondered if I did something wrong. The fish thought it was food and started eating it! Then I thought: ‘I’ll put it in the intake of my XP4 and maybe that will seed the filter better’. I’m not sure how much stayed inside as it blew right through and I the fish thought it was food again and started eating it. My pretty black sand looked like snow hit it! Anyway input on this product would be good as it is very cheap and if it works that is even better!

Thanks

i used to use the stress zyme but all i use know is seachem stability and it works great. I used it every day for 4 days when i filled my new tank and had my fish in after i filled it. Not one fish died and everything was ok.

That make two of us!!! I use to use it at water changes too, but, I don't see a need for this anymore. For cycling a new tank, however, I wouldn't go any other way.

In the bronx..new york. All lfs carry a product by nutrafin which is said to be filled with beneficial bacteria...can't overdose with it. I got the one rated for 500 gallons...dumped 3/4 in the fx5 and the rest in the tank :) starting cycle lol

LOL

You should have read the instructions and added it slowly

So let me get this straight, with seachem stability you can add it one day and the next day put fish in without getting mini cycles?
