Aren't rams hard to keep.
not really all you need to do is keep the water quality good...i've had rams before and they werent hard to keep but then i sold them and got monsters insted!

I sorta want a wet pet, are rams interactive? Also I saw angelfish, and gourami(I know these aren't cichlids), are these interactive? What about the africans and convicts? Are those incompatible with cories.

I would suggest an Oscar, but it would probably eat the cories. :D So then, I suggest looking at some apistogrammas, though small enough that a pair would be good in a 20

Bderick67 has successfully raised a couple silver aro in a 10 gallon for life. PM him on how he did it.

Rams can be interactive and not hard to breed either. Gouramis are your typical floating around community fish (and im being bias) they will recognize your the hand that feeds... The end. Cichlids will usually always be more outgoing although for wet pet status the really good ones will not fit in a 20gallon.

african cichlid get too big for a 20L and you could do 1 pair of convits and nothing else. Cories are good with angelfish, rams and gourami.

Apistos are great too! I have cared for 4 types of rams and Apisto vietjas they would work great with corys!
