what is the first fish uve bought ?

As a child: Bought a bunch of guppies, serpae tetras, buenos aires tetras, siamese algae eater. Stuck them in a 10 gallon with only a filter and plain tap water. Guppies died within a month, everything else lived for at least a year. I then threw some crayfish from the local creek, took out everything, a bunch escaped the tank and crawled around the house. My grandmother picked one up thinking it was a big bug and it pinched the crap out of her, that's still good for a good laugh 8+ years later.

As an adult Hobbiest: Jack Dempsey Cichlid.

Technically I bought a tank with 6-7 cichlids in it (kenyi, peacock, yellow labs, etc...)

The first fish I bought from a store were 3 pictus catfish.

My first was a goldfish from the local 'Fish Day' celebration when I was 9. I changed the water once a week, with tap water, and it had an orange shotglass in it's bowl for decore that I also won! It got pretty big considering the fish bowl size and lived almost 5 years. Poor thing!

My first tank was a 20 gallon long sitting on my dresser. It had community fish in it, mollies and guppies. All the mollies had the same name, Molly, and all the guppies had the same name, Guppy!!! I've never been good at naming my fish. Hmmmm, new thread idea!!!!
