What is the Fish you could just NEVER keep alive?

my answer to the question is freshwater flounders, never had one live more than 6 months, and I've tried in fresh and brackish

dude that sucks big time.. i once lost a whole tank to disease. not cool..... then i found out that my 12" pleco could live in a fish bowl through the summer and eat his own poo:nilly:
 
Fugu puffers, tried two different kinds.... The first one was bright green with orange markings--was so active and seemed perfectly health. I did keep it alive a lot longer than I was told I would though.... Didn't realize when I got them that they don't do well in captivity. Would never try it again.

I totally agree. Many, many years ago I saw a picture in one of the fish mags of a very large tank filled with hundreds of either cardinal or neon tetras. It was a really awesome looking tank and I've tried to duplicate this myself a couple of times over the years, but no luck. I'd buy 100-200 of the little buggers and end up with just a couple alive after just a few weeks. I've been an aquarium hobbyist for almost 40 years and have kept some very sensitive fish with little to no problems, but I can't keep a neon tetra alive. Very frustrating!:irked:
