What is the least aggressive Bichir?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Never tried any other bottom dwellers with my polys.
And i wouldn't dare try other fishes that are not atleast the same size as my polys.
Reason being, i've witness my dad's poly try eating a huge goldfish that is obviously too big for him and he almost died of choking.

my 7inch senegal nearly ripped my 4 inch Raphael Catfish's left pectoral fin clean off. I created enough caves/hiding places for both to coexist but sods law they both chose the croc skull......resulting in many nights of hearing my catfish "croaking". Fair play to the little fella though, got a damaged fin, but claimed the croc skull as his own, which in turn made my bichir hide less and become more of a wanderer around the tank. Ive been told senegals are the least aggresive, but I think each bichir has a different temperment/personality
