What is the name of this fish and is it eatable by human?

my apartment is next to a lake with shallow water. depth is around 1.5 Meters.

I see a lot of these fishes. what is the name of these fishes and If i catch one, is it eatable?

Looks like a chain pickerel to me. Had to compare to some google images, we don’t have those out here.

Definitely a pike of the Esoxlucius family I believe the larger pike species are fished and consumed .

Somebody told me these fish are full of bones and a pain to eat. Thought I'd warn you in case its true. Maybe research a bit now you know the species.

I wont bother then eating them. Fish is cheap in Scandinavia, i will go to store and buy salmon

The big question is it LEGAL? Doesnt matter if a fish is edible or not, check with your state/country if you need a license or not to take as well as making sure its within size regs as there are size limits on game fish generally where im from.

I've never eaten it but I've heard it is really good. Though I have also hear it is quite bony.
