What is the scientific name of this Fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
From all the reading on here.....the final verdict is that it is a saltwater fish!
Man...I am disappointed....oh well...
Peace!

Read the posts on this forum and you will understand!
Paste the scientific name on search and read dude!

I think they are like Puffers... they can live in F/W but as they get older they need salt.... They look awsome if you guys goto the Georgia aquarium they have huge ones like the size of humans... and you can walk through the tank and see them clearly its sick... we should have a MFK meet there

Yea I saw some i thought was bigger then that in the GA aquarium this summer... Sick fish tho... Colors and all...

A place called Aquarium Adventure has a Shark tank in the store.. And had a big eel and a Grouper... Nice fish really is... Just gets super big... I think they sold it.. They are selling a 11yr old tiger shark also because they have two and the tank is getting to small they are starting to nibble on each other...way too much money tho

Good info fish friends!
Another good reason not to raise them because we will never have a tank big enough for them....
Thanks for sharing!

You claim it as saltwater when there is a PBass in the background? WTF.

when they hit the market they were a big thing, having them "acclimated" to fw. However, being a saltwater fish, from the people I know that had them, they didn't last much past 3-4 years.
