How does fighting contribute to being smart? If so my Midas would have been the smartest fish out there. :D He was really interactive and would glass bang at anyone besides me.
Well, when you put a sharp edge knife into the water, your midas would probably bump it and suicide, at least convicts know how to dodge!

My midas would have bended the blade with his epic nuchal hump. Then he would have teleported into your con tank and devour them. Then he would hop out of the water, hunt you down, mug you, then fin slap you.

Hahaha, good point. Midas are so mean and not smart, they will attack anything including a knife. Convict's are so mean, and smart. So convict's will know what to do if something happen's(bad).

Ok, then my 5 convict's, including my vicous 6 inch male, will team up and shred your midas, then go in your room and fin slap you...hahaha. How do you like that now??

The first time I read this I thought you said the midas would HUMP the knife, and I was like WTF? Then I reas it again and thought, oooooooh, he said BUMP the knife. LOL:ROFL:

I will say black belt. I had a couple of them and they are by a factor of 10 the hardest fish to net I have ever had, and I have kept most cichlids. If you have ever owned one and tried to net it you would agree. The fish would watch me and figure out what I was doing and plan his escape. I would use two nets and still took me 30 minutes or more and I had to take everything out of the tank. They are also very pet like and great fish to have around.

My oscars were always relatively smart. They knew exactly what time it was during the feeding schedule and were very responsive to me.
