How big of a tank is in that video? The butterfly fish in the same tank now? What's in there with him?

Just a 10 gal tank...that vid was when it was waaaay over crowded..now it's just the butterfly, a hoplo cat, 3 black skirt tetras and 2 zebra danios.

I'mma start loading you up with n00b questions since youv'e been such a good sport and it's faster then researching it myself. Can you keep more then one in the same tank?

umm I think you can...they aren't terribly active.
You just need to make sure you have a tight fitting lid cause they are jumpers! mine hasn't tried to get out yet and I have had him for about a year.

it looks like it bumped against the glass hard...is it easily startled?

melafix is better than salt imo. more natural for piranha and does a better job i think

Ohhhh that could be it too...they are new and still get startled easily...starting to get better though!

I wouldn't even bother with the salt unless it appears to get infected. You can if you want. It won't hurt. This will occur often and you will be amazed at how fast these little guys heal....
