I was cleaning out my tank because I upgraded to a bigger tank. When the tank was completely empty with just about 6" of water in it, I saw this thing in it. I stared at it for a while and I saw it start to move... SLOWLY! But it is moving. I just want to know what it is so that I know whether I should kill it or find it a good home.

It's an aquatic maggot.

I couldn't record it moving. This thing moves like 1/2 an inch per hour. But eve now and then it does spaz out and move a lot. This is how I knew it was moving. But here is a better picture of it.

It's a little over an inch long... And really fat! And what is an aquatic maggot? Is it bad? And maggots usual transform into something else. Does this thing?

Lol,just kidding...that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the photo.....Maggots are the offspring of flies.

is that freshwater?? what's covering the bottom of the tank?

if you didn't buy it for the tank kill it... freaky looking thing

It's saltwater. And the bottom of the tank is a mixture of sand and stuff that fell of my live rocks(mostly poop). But I just want to know what it is out of curiosity. But it seems like everyone I've asked has no idea what it is...
