ok i made a mistake in the id.
and i have to say that i didnt even know that there is a Elongatus, Frempongi and Fasciatus in the Hemichromis. is it the same genos as the lifalili, stellifer and guttatus or not even in the same famely???
by the way the Hemichromis Fasciatus looks great what is his max size and where dos he come from?

yes they are in the same family as the red jewels, lifalili, bimaculatum, stellifer etc. all are from the Hemichromis genus. there are 2 "types" of jewels...the 5 spot jewels (fasciatus, frempongi and elongatus) and then the red jewels which is basically all the others. oh, and I think the 5 spots will max. out around 6-8".

It's a species of Jewel and yes ultra aggressive I've never kept one but have a friend who is high on them.

it's probably female, the males tend to have the red in them, definately hemicromis elongatus, mean little sh*ts they are...not as pretty as the red jewel but MEANER and bigger.
