What is up with Python?

I work at a Petland Discounts in New York and i spoke with one of royal's representatives and he said they bought the original python. i don't have a link or any document saying this information is correct but, thats what he told me and i gotta say besides the fact that they changed it's color to blue it looks exactly like the python.
Buy a connector and then go to Lowes and get some tubing for around $0.50/foot for how ever much you need. Their vinyl tubing is pretty flexible.
EDIT: come to think of it. I think it should be cheaper. I bought some 3/4" tubing and I think for a python you need 1/2".

That wouldn't make sense to change the color of the product. The color is part of their brand recognition. I may be wrong, but I would bet that there's a stretch of the truth going on and they are selling the knock-off brand claiming it is the Python brand. They Python website is still up and running with no notification of a dissolution of the company.
Thanks for the info. I am with the guy who wrote this thread in that i will buy American made just to help support my neighbors and friends. Manufacturing here has already dropped to near nothing. Sad. May cost a little more but if it keeps Americans employed I am all for it. This is a shame!
i can see why they would be in trouble.. normally only anyone need one python.. they last forever, and as for the harware staore tubeing, be careful cuz the cheaper stuff collapses and kinks very easily, try the stuff with the wires inside it, i havnt tried it yet but it appears to be alot stronger
I recently went to the major chains and noticed that they didn't carry the Python brand anymore. Guess this explains it, lol!
. i've had several do this. I love my old Python, hope they come back.Huh, I figured that they were gone since their website hadn't been updated since last year and all major retailers have stopped carrying their products/listed them as discontinued. It's good to know that they might make a comeback!
