just because you think your picture is "the best" doesnt mean it is to everyone else. its an eye??? do you see any pictures of a fish eye on any fish flakes/chemicals/backgrounds? anyway obviously yours wasnt the best picture and you really need to get over it. Yes, your photo had good macro but it wasnt exciting or eye catching or in any way that much more special then the other photo's.

Thanks Stump, in my defence i wasnt acting immature, just was asking.. Aint i right that my pic really is better than those two? Then why didnt i get any votes? And these questions have both been answered so i am happy.

You're right. Your picture blew the other two out of the water, in my opinion... I honestly would think you would have gottten more votes because of that.

I'm sorry but IMO I don't care much for an eye shot which is based only on your word it is even a fish. Had I voted I would had picked the third one as it overall looks better. I'm not saying yours is bad.

contest is not about photography skills, how the photo is set up and how well it was taken... no one seems to ever care about that.... thats why I hate potm everyone votes for the fish. =[

So, i was checking out the march potm pics and saw my pic. I had forgot that i entered so i sadly couldn't vote.

I looked at the pics and checked how many votes my pic got and how others did compared to mine. I wasn't very happy.

My pic got 3 votes. I was disappointed because the pic isn't that bad. I am not just sad because i didn't win, i had no change because there were also much better pics that obviously won by a mile.

This is the pic i entered, a close up of a RTCxTSN hybrid.


There are pics like this one, of a p. Its a nice p and all and the focus isn't too bad but it is way to dark. Wouldn't you agree that my pic is atleast slightly better? This pic actually got more votes than mine.

Also this one. #17 in the potm, of some sort of a FH, a nice fish with out a doubt, but the pic has no focus at all. Agreed? And dont you agree that mine is a slightly better pic than this one?

I hate that the contest doesn't only go for the best pic, but the most interesting pic in which many MFKers translate interesting as their "favorite fish" or the "coolest fish" they see in the competition.
For god sakes it is PHOTO of the month not FISH of the month.

I think that when voting in potm you should think much more of the quality of the picture not what is on it.

What do you think about this?
