what is your biggest accomplishment in keeping bichirs?

Keeping 4 species happy and healthy. All of my bichirs hand feed as well. Also keeping so many bichirs and resisting the urge to never once give them a feeder fish ( Frozen tilapia and silversides the exception)

I'm not sure I'd call it an accomplishment, more likely just a love fest, but I've had at least one bichir (usually more), every year since my first one in 1968! However, all that really means is that I'm older than dirt! There, I said it before anyone else could!:D:D Johnathan

My biggest accomplishment is to have two breeding pair of ornatipinnis and having them to lay eggs and having 4 babies survive!!

I just find out today that I could do the same with my bichirs, but I just don't hv the space, but as for me I'll get more n more plat, at least it a goal to make.

Hmm, tough call. Can't really say I've had any huge accomplishments. There are a few things I'm proud of though: Owning only WC polys, having two mokes (not really that big of an accomplishment but not many people do), never having any of my polys kill and eat another fish that I didn't mean for them to (although they have eaten already dead fish), and getting every single one of my polys to eat pellets on their first day in the aquarium.

As for things I'd like to do, it would be nice to have a tank of only dels, and to finally own a cong.

To date? Having received two for free as babysitting duty. My friend is dabbling heavily in saltwater crustacea and needed the space. I've only had them a few days, but they eat pellets and come out to see me. Well, the senegal is brave, but the gold dust is only active around feeding time.

Mine as a aquaria newb would be just if my first survives a month....
So far he is not eating much and has been pestered by some of my other fish.
I will stop and get some beefheart today on my way to lunch.
