Wow I didn't realize Jacks had teeth like that!

Yeah man, some intense stuff!

Is this even a cichlid thread anymore?
Was never to begin with, the thread is called ''whats your biggest baddest fish''

Are mangrove jacks brackish/marine?
They can either be kept in full salt, light or heavy brackish when they're lager. Not a good idea to keep hem in fully fresh because its too easy for some disease to occur.
Bestto keep them heavily brackish. Brings a better colour out in them, more behaviour and from what ive seen better growth.

Ah ok. Ive been on the look out for different monster fish. But I don't want one that brackish or marine. Bummer. Very cool looking fish.

for brackish you only need to throw a couple handfuls of salt in when doing wc depending on tank size. Its nothing like a full marine setup. Its really freshwater with some marine salt.

Yeah but for something like a 300 gallon tank it's much more than a few handfuls haha.
