What is your cleaning/water change routine and how long does it take you?

I forgot to mention the glass tops. Since we have real hard water here, like once a month I clean em with vinegar. I soak paper towels and stick them on for an hour while I clean the tanks. Then I scrub and rinse and towel dry them fast.

totally forgot about them too, I think I've cleaned mine twice this year, while I used to be real adamant about it......gotta get on the ball w/ that one

Mine are always getting algae on them instead of calcium buildups as I have a whole house water softner.

Speed and ease. Turn the valve and half the tank drains in no time. As DN328 mentioned, sink pressure to fill is the pacing factor.
A cup of salt softens the San Diego water.

you have free water and your not running a r/o with a automatic 24/7 drip system so you dont have to do wc at all? this is madness! lol..
lol not disagreeing with you. I just don't think the apartment I'm renting would be ideal for a drip system, nor do I know enough about it. Not to mention I'd have to drain it out a window, and run lines from a faucet that is nowhere near my bedroom where the tanks are. It's just not practical ATM... besides, I enjoy the w/c and gravel vacs to be honest

ah icic, you can still gravel vac as the drip wont do that for you and theres no problem
with a extra wc even with a drip system and some people still do smaller wc with drips.
