What is your favorite CA/SA cichlid and why?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As far as personality pearsei are great DMD123 DMD123 would probably agree. Mine is literally a wet pet, dog with fins lol.

He hates me and loves my wife. Will never hand feed with me but does it no problem with her. Even today after i dropped him back into the 300 he was sulking and darting behind dw when ever i approached the tank. My wife walks over to check on him and he swimms right uo to her wagging his tail like nothings wrong.

Love my Porkchop!

Why did you decide to reduce the stock? any issues with the fish or did just want to lighten up the bioload?

Let’s see your Hartwegi?! Contemplating picking some up after Xmas and I’m on the fence because half the picture looks drab and boring and the others are stunners

The regani was on of my favorites but being male would once a year go into a mating rage that would involve taking over control of the tank and being a absolute tool. The female Pearsei who normally ran the tank could not keep him in check. I would have to pull the regani out of the tank for about six weeks and then reintroduce him. The rest of the year was perfectly fine until that mating urge hit again. since we moved into a smaller home and I downsized the number of tanks I had nowhere to put the regani so I had to rehome it.

As to the rest yeah pretty much bioload. though I am looking for maybe one more upper fish. I used to have a Rapps Bumblebee Oscar I loved:

Been kind of on the hunt for a really nice wc Ocsar at this point.

That oscar is beautiful. I wouldn’t have been able to rehome one like that.
