OMEGA ONE on mines! BIG DIFFERENCE when switched from hikari! now, the colors are much more pronounced and bold! my mbuna/americans eat it up like theyre starving! my alto. calvus and alto. comps dont want nothing else (tried nls- they didnt even bother) and theyve grown more than i expected since i got them. also my burundi fronts love it too! hahaha.... they see the purple/yellow plastic jar and everyone goes nuts!.... sooner or later i wanna start mixing feedings with omega one and Dainichi!
^^^^^^ i think Dainichi is better than nls! the thing is that none of the lfs, big or small, corporate or moms and pops sells Dainichi thats why theyre always pushing nls!...
hmm, think imma go buy a bucket today and make a mix-0-pellets. i bet they do get bored eating the same kinda pellet every time. i never thought of that.
i usually jus feed hikari gold large but i've been feeding hikari aro sticks. gonna make a mix of large, medium, and sticks. since i have different size fish that might want different size pellets.
I throw 6 brands of fish food pellets into a blender with some shrimp, mussel, squid, mackeral, algae wafers, mat algae, dead crickets and some turtle pellets and roll it into balls and freeze it.
The staple of my monster tank is superworms, although they get a lot of other live and prepared foods. I like the superworms as they're cheap here, easy to gut load, and all my fish (except my ol CK) love them!
My planted tank usually gets a high quality sinking pellet (very small size).
