nah. I have just as much fun reading about P's and looking at pics as i ever did keeping them. He was gorgeous and fun for a while but so painfully boring. These guys aren't for everyone. Especially not for people with limited tank space and even more limited attention spans like myself.

that's how you end up being an idiot like me keeping one lil rhom in a 75 gallon while dreaming of keeping all kinds of more active things

on the bright side, it's started developing it's red eyes in the last couple of days!

talking about me? I might end up like ballin by keeping a small rhom (~10-11") in my 180g instead of a shoal.

you gotta do what you gotta do.

IMO Unless you have a fishroom stocked with different kinds of P's that are enough to keep you busy, or you have a shoal of pygos which I hear are much more fun than solo serras, then IMO there are better ways to use tank space. I'll tell you though, one of the best things about keeping P's is the internet community of keepers. Some great guys on here, P-Fury, the Italian forum. That in and of itself is a good reason to keep the fish.

Nah I'm talking about me, and my 3 tanks which could easily fit into one 180g and still have some room.

getting back on topic here i think the video is just sick excuse for entertain ment like hey i like feeding feeders but why injure them before putting it into the tank no chance it had to watch itself die slowly just sick

it's looks to be part of the compressus complex due to the barring spots but I wouldn't be so sure to say thats the adult form of your fish. it would be great if it does turn into one like that and I have see some compressus looks similar to that picture on opefe so its possible.

It was someone who bought the same fish from the same store that told me that is what it will look like when it is mature. Also there is a difference between the Diamond Piranhas as can be seen here: http://www.aquascapeonline.com/aquatic-live-stock-fresh-water-fish-piranhas-genus-serrasalmus/

i think this video was lame ( especially the music ) . if you need to see your fish kill another then feed it something that wont take 3 hours of torture to kill. the elong looked really nice though.

i agree with you on that

Crappy song for sure. Lame-Moe.
