I would like to clarify what it means to be a vegetarian. first off, lets look at the word vegetarian. vegetarian is formed from the word vegetable and the suffix -arian meaning a person who. the common misconception is that being a vegetarian means you can eat fish. being a vegetarian means you ONLY eat vegetables, fruits, organic plant matter, and animal by-products. being a vegetarian means having no meat in your diet. many claim to be vegetarians but actually consume fish, or chicken along with their milk and veggies. this is fraud! this is called being omnivorous. in addition to being vegetarian there is also vegan. being vegan means eating no meats, or animal by-products. this includes milk, eggs, and bacon.
