You want an actual response to your nonsense?

Let's take a look at you.
You are sitting there on your computer, which undoubtably consists of components comprised of minerals that originate from conflict areas of the Congo.

So, obviously you want to protect cute little animals, but you don't mind if people die so you can surf your message boards. I think I hear your cell phone ringing too.

Oh, it's time for your environmentally conscious lunch? Well every year 5 million children die from lack of food and malnutrition.

Maybe you could skip lunch from now on and send the money saved to charities? Or if you come up with some great excuse like "I grow all my own food" (and let's face it, you don't), why not donate it to hungry children in America?

You see, my main problem with your attitude is somehow you think you're making a big meaningful contribution to better the world by not eating meat. That is so far down on the totem pole of the problems of the planet that it's laughable. Like I said in a previous post, if you want to eat only vegetables (or maybe "a little" fish, not that commercial fishing ever hurt the environment, right?) go for it. However, unless you live completely off the grid (and you don't), you're contributing to far greater problems that the earth and humanity is facing.

So how about you drop the "holier than thou" attitude and shut your (metaphorically speaking) hypocritical mouth? I can't wait for your response where you talk about all these great things you do for charity and your local community, when in reality you are likely sitting behind your shiny computer sipping a vegan latte stroking your own "ego" about how great it is you don't eat red meat.

Well before this gets locked down and put away I'll say,

1) that snapper/mouse video is freakin' disturbing. They should have atleast cracked it first.

2)<omnivore. I think variety is the spice, but as buddah says: "All beings tremble before danger, all fear death.
When a man has realized this, he does not kill or cause to kill"

3)My buddy did a stint at a veal "farm" which is basicly rows of 1ft buy 2ft "cells" with a boat load of young, malnourished, diseased cows locked in. A valid comparison to hell. Anyways, the smell of disease and funk is so thick it actually has a weight I bet, you could probably close up a bag of that air, and it would weigh more than clean air. So, take that and apply the "you are what you eat" philosophy. All the additional antibiotics and hormones make sense when you see it in person. Another thing we have rolling all around here are Tyson chicken trucks. Ever get behind a garbage truck on a hot day?.. The chicken trucks have the same funk, the chickens are brown and they deuce out liquid $t all over each other as they roll down the road, unable to stand because they're crammed into shoe box size cages. Nice

I can see both sides of the scale, I think to take it all the way one way or the other will throw your scales off, and you won't get a good balance. There's a saying where I come from (old school), "squeal a pig, and you ruin the meat"..

So it's back to, it's alright to do just do it right. As with gun control, firecrackers. a specific species of fish for an aquarium, a python that grows huge, etc etc etc.... Don't be the dumb one that blows his fingers off.....

x2 Veal farms are horrendous.. As much as people are led to believe large scale slaughterhouses are in no way humane and the animals are treated cruely. Lots of places on the 'net to see for yourself.

I was not going to argue, taking your signature to heart, but obviously you need to hear the sound of your(metaphorically speaking)voice. I never said I was vegan, vegetarian, trying to save the world or asking anyone here to make a difference. I simply linked to a discussion on what the OP was trying to state. But you just want it to be about you and whatever your stroking behind your keyboard pal. You are petty, small minded and so far, a complete and utter idiot who never rose above schoolyard name calling. You and your narrow mind(such as it is) and people like you are what has this world in the straits it's in.

haha you must have watched the news yesterday when they said all that about the fish
Actually, I did not. I rarely watch TV and mostly read the news. Even then I question the validity of it. The fish issue I have heard before. Is one form of news more accurate than another? I doubt it very seriously. With all the political posturing of the news media, they are only going to give you as little as it takes to get your attention on their political viewpoint.

well its funny how you said the same exact percentage and everything the news said a day after it aired

i hate and loath cruelty in any shape or form... there are all kinds of people in this world and all types of cultures.. i respect meat eaters and vegetarians.. what ever fits into your lifestyle is okay with me.. i am not here on earth to change your menu.. but i try my best to educate and end animal cruelty.. there are ways to do the same things without torture.. there should always be a high regard for quality of life even though it is not a long life.. This to me is the part that really matters.. we should respect and honor and be thankful and appreciate all food source... it is the substance of our life.. to mock and degrade another living thing even if it is on the food chain is just ignorant....what ever you believe in and why you believe it should not make any difference to anyone else.. just follow your own heart.. your own feelings.. and discuss why you believe this way without judging harshly one another .
