nice oscars, is that a con i see?

Yep, there are 2 cons, 2 silver dollars, and 2 common plecos along with the Oscars in that tank. Those fish were in seperate 55 gallons and when I got the big tank I added them all together, they are all best of buds.

Rightly so. Think about it. Canon and Nikon are leading camera manufacturers, whether its the good ol' 35mm SLR or the DSLR. Kodak on the other hand are renown for their photo papers, chemicals and various photographic accessories. Either canon or nikon cameras will do nicely. It can be the simple and easy to use PS or the higher end DSLR's the image from these cameras are awesome. :grinno:

You guys are entitled to your opionions but I don't know if REDKID is looking for a really expensive camera. Just like I dont have a ton of money to blow on an awesome camera. I think the Kodak EasyShare is in his price range, and in my opinion is a good camera.

I have had fuji, cannon, sony, and nikon point and shoot cameras (comparable to my current one--Kodak) and none of them give me the shots that I'm happy with. Maybe I gave up on them too soon, but I really enjoy my Kodak for what it's worth.

I'm not looking for like these $300-500 cams... justsomethin like 200-250 maybe 300 that can take nice quality pics closeup and tank shots.... you all have givin me alot of choices! thanks!

I had kodaks, olympus, panasonics...they were decent, but it didn't compare to nikons and canons. That's my personal opinion and experience.

With the prices these days, a good canon or nikon is comparable in price to any other cameras out there. I picked up the canon S3 IS for my wife and she loves it, in addition it has a nice zoom (10x optical) as opposed to others, although Kodak has one, the image is grainy and washed out. Nikon is the only other 10X zoom PS that gives canon a run for its money.

At $360 in change, the canon S3IS has almost the same features of a DSLR and yet simple to use, hell if my wife can operate it without asking 10K questions...it's easy.

Besides, not much people probably remember who had the first digital camera out there. It was Canon, with the XAPSHOT camera, used a mini-disk to store images, wasn't the greatest image at the time but it made life a whole lot easier back then. Actually I gotta find it and post a pic of it here..

But seriously do your research on any digital camera before you plunk down a couple hundred bucks.

Good site to check out for reviews.

A site that has decent prices here.

10x optical zoom with no distortion of the image.

I'm not saying nikon, cannon, sony or any others are bad.....I'm saying this model of Kokak is a very good camera. I have got some stellar pictures out of this camera. I'd like to see some aquatic pictures out of a P&S of similar price that are comparable to the ones from this.
