I am thinking of getting another tank - I already have a couple of Belonesox belizanus but I need some new stuff.

So what Channa to choose?

I im looking at the small species like:

Channa asiatica

Channa bleheri

Channa gachua

So the question is:

Which one is the most aggressive - the most beautiful and the easiest to keep?

Taking the above three things into account which one would you choose?

You have to deside for me, since I am a total Noop in snakeheads (But not in predatory fish - dont get me wrong - I know what I am doing), so all the help (and the final vote from you) I can get is most appreciated

Thanks

Is it the most agressive of the species above? I am not looking to have it with any other fish - I just need a killer if you get my drift

Channa asiatica would be by far the most aggressive out of all them , try and get a pair and keep at 18-24 °C with lots of floating plant cover or a small group of juvies , if a pair forms you will not have to worry about the extras as they will be promptly killed by the pair , if you do get a pair to form they will show great colouration ,and if given enough cover to feel secure will be out in the open quite a bit , although asiatica is the biggest species out of the ones you listed so depends on what size tank your going to buy them , have a read through snakeheads keeping conditions by pascal in the stickys there is some great information about all on your list in there

i say the striped SH is the most territorial but the micros are the hungriesssstt
