what kind of fish is this??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i'm not sure about aggression i would like to hear from other member about black belts i've heard there like other vieja and aren't to aggressive twords tank mates just twords other vieja but i could be wrong also they get pretty big so that might be a problem for the GT

most Vieja/paratheraps are pretty mellow, from what I hear, except blackbelts. They are CA, not SA.

if it attacks your GT it most likely won't turn it aggressive twords all fish but it could teach it how to fight which it may use so later

That's not my experience. They're been mean as hell when I have them.

mosy vieja/paratheraps are holy terrors in my opinion, ive owned many of them and they can be rough customers

yep i say syn. they are NORMALLY middle of the road as far as vieja species go aggression wise. just got one and within 2 minutes of releasing him in my tank he was locking up with my male con. but most vieja's are nasty

I agree and would say Black belt but hard to be sure at this size

Also I have a Vieja syn. that doesnt bother anyone, lives with two dempseys and two pairs of HRP's. Very nice fish though.

If i were to guess id say Vieja maculicauda. Id say give it a week or so when its feeling better and colors up.
